WHAT DOES THE POLITICAL VIEWS OF A PERSON HAVE TO DO WITH THE KINGDOM OF GOD? WHAT DOES SEASONS HAVE TO DO WITH THE KINGDOM OF GOD? SHOULD YOUR LIKES OR DISLIKE COME BETWEEN US AND GOD'S KINGDOM, SHOULD WORK, SUMMER CAMP, OR A WORLDLY OFFICE ??????? I KEEP WONDERING IS WE REALLY KNOW OUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH GOD??? PLEASE REFLECT SERIOUSLY ABOUT THIS AND REDO YOUR RELIGIOUS CHECK-UPS.

Greetings my good Brother! My answer to this would be that our walk with God should "spill over" into every aspect of our lives. For some reason we have separated the spiritual from the secular. Who made this separation? Who authorized it? We are to let our lights shine to the world. You can't do this by hiding inside the four walls of a Church building. I think people like Cal Thomas, Tony Dungy, John Maxwell, Our Founding Fathers, and a whole host of others who have injected their faith into their daily lives understood that there is no wall of separation between the spiritual and the secular. How will people know what you stand for if it's hid inside the four walls of your Church? I personally think there should be more Apostolics, who have the knowledge and wisdom, running for public office. I think it is well past time for us to be involved in the leadership of our nation at every level. What better people to lead this nation than those who have Divine guidance? Just my two cents.

good post bro woods. WE ARE ALWAYS ANSWERABLE TO GOD. and men of god should hold us accountable for our actions as well. where we work and what we do and what we stand for even inpolitics should be a reflection of what we really are in god.

While as Apostolic Pentecostals, our experience with the Lord Jesus Christ should spill over into every area of our lives (just like the old song: 'He is my everything, He is my all'), including the voting booth and our political/social ethic, many times the way in which we as Pentecostals go about doing that is woefully shameful to the name of Jesus Christ!

How do we reconcile Scripture telling us, "Thou shalt not kill," with actually killing people in, of all insulting things, "God's War?"

And just whom are these people that "shamed" me into voting the way I did? Introduce me to one of them, please!

Since when do Apostolic Pentecostals care more about who is running for politcal office than who is showing up for church?

Where did this come from? The United States is not mentioned ONCE in Scriptures! Therefore, how can be claim to be the Lord's chosen? Wouldn't the Lord be playing favourites? Doesn't that go against the entire intimation of the Book of Acts? Have we become that illiterate?

Was a time when Apostolic Pentecostals were known for being conscientious objectors, and yes, serving the countries we resided in, but NEVER to the point of bearing arms!

If all life is sacred (which it is) we should cry out against abortion (which we do), but what out those wrongfully accused and executed? What about homosexuals? What about those that, due to illness or accident, can't speak for themselves and are "vegetables"? Why are we not throwing fits about those people?

What about denying an entire strata of society their basic human rights just because we don't endorse their lifestyle?

That's Christian? That's Apostolic? That's Pentecostal? Lord, help us!

I'm afraid we're just gonna have to disagree on some of this. Let me ask you a question. When someone is caught stealing, does anything change about their rights? Of course it does. They have to give up some of them because the law says that they are to be punished for thier crimes. What if we let murderers off the hook simply because they are human? What if that would have been to the many serial killers that have caught? They would still be killing people today. When crimes are committed, the criminal gives up some of their rights due to the fact that they must pay the consequences of the crimes. Homosexuality is against God's law. Many countries have laws against this practice, as do many of the states in the United States.
As far as the issue of killing, I'm afraid you have mis-interpreted what it means. When God said "Thou shalt not kill" He was refering to murder. There is a difference between pre-meditated murder and killing. What if our American troops would not return fire on those who fire on them because it was seen as being wrong? What good would it be to have a military if they did not use force against those who harm them? What about Police officers that have been fired upon? Should they not carry fire arms? I don't think so. Yes life is sacred. And the many who carry fire arms are protecting lives by using them when it is called for. Just my two cents.

Thats great Bishop Liberty,we are called by God and we should be answerable to God.

Political views don't matter to the Kingdom of God. Political views are the Kingdom of Men - not the Kingdom of God. As ministers we are answerable only to God, however, as part of that we are responsible for the lives of men, women and children.

That is the view from my porch...
